Djokovic and Alcaraz to Face Off in Historic Paris Olympics Final

Djokovic becomes oldest male to reach gold medal match

PARIS, France (AP) — Tennis legends Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz will renew their rivalry in the men's singles final at the Paris Olympics 2024. The match is scheduled to begin shortly.

Sunday's final will be a clash of generations, with 37-year-old Djokovic becoming the oldest man to play in an Olympic gold medal match.

Djokovic clinched his berth in the final after defeating No. 6 seed Alexander Zverev in the semifinals on Friday. Alcaraz, the No. 2 seed, advanced to the final with a victory over No. 4 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The Djokovic-Alcaraz matchup is a rematch of their thrilling Wimbledon final earlier this year, which Djokovic won in four sets.
