Bruins Win Game 1 of Eastern Conference Second Round Series
The Boston Bruins took a 1-0 lead in their Eastern Conference Second Round series against the Florida Panthers with a 4-3 victory in Game 1 on Saturday night at TD Garden. David Pastrnak scored the game-winning goal with just 2:38 remaining in the third period, and Linus Ullmark made 33 saves for the Bruins.
The Bruins got off to a quick start, taking a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron. The Panthers answered back in the second period with goals by Aleksander Barkov and Eetu Luostarinen to tie the game. The Bruins regained the lead in the third period on a goal by Jake DeBrusk, but the Panthers tied the game again with just over five minutes remaining on a goal by Carter Verhaeghe.
The Bruins will look to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Panthers in Game 2 on Monday night at TD Garden.
